Job Description

NMC Corporate is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant/Specialist Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PL) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide expert care to pediatric patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department. The role requires clinical expertise, leadership in pediatric emergency care, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 30000-60000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Consultant/Specialist Pediatric

  • Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients in the emergency department, managing a wide range of acute conditions, including trauma, infections, and life-threatening medical emergencies.
  • Lead resuscitation efforts for critically ill or injured children, including performing advanced pediatric life support (APLS) procedures.
  • Supervise, mentor, and educate junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff on best practices in pediatric emergency medicine.
  • Work closely with other specialists and healthcare teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive care to pediatric patients.
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations and consultations for children requiring emergency care, ensuring accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric emergency medicine through continuous professional development, attending relevant training, conferences, and workshops.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing pediatric emergency care.
  • Actively contribute to clinical research and quality assurance activities in the pediatric emergency department.
  • Provide leadership in emergency preparedness and response for pediatric patients in mass casualty or disaster scenarios.
  • Ensure excellent communication with families, offering compassionate and clear explanations regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical, and institutional standards and guidelines while delivering patient care.

Requirements for Role of Consultant/Specialist Pediatric

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or equivalent in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine with a specialization in pediatrics.
  • Licensure to practice as a medical professional in [Country/Region].
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric emergency medicine, with significant hands-on involvement in managing acute pediatric cases.
  • Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) certification or equivalent.

  • Experience in conducting clinical research and contributing to quality improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
