Consultant Cardio Thoracic Surgeon NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah

NMC Healthcare is currently looking to hire a candidate for the job role of a Consultant Cardio Thoracic Surgeon (Revenue Share Doctor) at NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah, UAE. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 25000-50000 AED/month.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive and diligent cardio-thoracic surgical care to all patients, including pre- and post-operative care and such surgical procedures as are within incumbent’s competence.
• Assumes after-hours responsibility for the care of cardio-thoracic cases and makes daily rounds for those hospitalized.
• Provides consultation services to physicians and other surgeons and other specialists if and when required.
• Orders diagnostic laboratory studies and X-ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy.
• Determines the eligibility of patients for admission.
• Identifies need for tests or follow-up visits.
• Supports Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Exercises effective interpersonal skills in dealings with department staff, with associates and with Management.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient information and regarding administrative matters of a confidential nature.
• Evidences dependability in carrying out the commitments and obligations of the position.
• Demonstrates the ability to listen to others in promoting effective communication.
• Develops thorough understanding of policies and procedures of the hospital and demonstrates respect for them.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department.

Requirements for Role of Consultant Cardio Thoracic Surgeon

• Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency; certification by the American Board of Cardio-thoracic Surgeons or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or its equivalent).
• At least three (3) years of practice as a cardio-thoracic surgeon with two (2) or more years as a licensed Consultant.
