Job Purpose of A Configuration Officer At EDGE Group

Manage & oversee configuration management (CM) processes, ensure accurate documentation and control of hardware/software configurations to support efficient/reliable systems.

Job Duties of Configuration Officer At EDGE Group

• Compile and maintain Configuration Management (CM) plans.
• Liaise with project team to gain an in depth understanding of the configuration requirements of the project.
• Identity CM requirements that cover the system, hardware, software and data/info requirements.
• Collaborate with the project design / development team to provide support on multiple configuration baselines aligned with the CM Plans.
• Apply control mechanisms to ensure correct baselines are delivered.
• Ensure adherence to the established CM procedures in context to the respective projects.
• Produce reports on configuration status of specific projects.
• Conduct audits to validate the accuracy of product data as per each product.
• Coach, guide and train engineers on the Configuration Management processes they need to follow.
• Develop and present training courses to personnel as required.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors of Science in industrial Engineering.

Or

• Associate degree in electrical & mechanical engineering.
• 7 plus years of experience in configuration management / document control within a systems engineering technology company.

Skills & knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of ANSI/EIA 649.
• Knowledge of system engineering principles.
