About the Role

As a Computer Science Teacher at Gems FirstPoint School, you will deliver high-quality lessons across GCSE, A Level, and BTEC Computer Science and IT courses. Key Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 to 5, including GCSE and A Level programmes
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote computational thinking, problem solving, and programming skills
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners in an international setting
• Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative approaches
• Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme and community events
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support school improvement
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters innovation and a love of learning

Requirements

• Bachelor of Education or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and the GCSE/A Level Computer Science curriculum
• A passion for innovation, creativity, and student-centred learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
