Computer Science Teacher – GEMS Education, Dubai

GEMS Education is looking for an innovative Computer Science Teacher to deliver the computing curriculum at one of its outstanding schools in Dubai. This role is ideal for a technology-focused educator who can inspire students in programming, algorithms and digital literacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science from KS3 through to A-Level, covering programming, algorithms, data structures and cyber security
• Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science examinations
• Deliver practical coding sessions using Python, Java or other relevant programming languages
• Promote computational thinking and problem-solving skills across the curriculum
• Lead or contribute to extra-curricular computing clubs and STEM events

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java or C++
• Familiarity with OCR, AQA or Cambridge Computer Science syllabi
