IT/Computers Web industry is looking for a talented computer operator to monitor and control their computer systems. The job holder will be responsible for handling the operation and maintenance of their computer systems, collaborating with the IT team, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining equipment inventories.

Responsibilities of Computer Operator

• Setting up computers and other hardware devices.
• Meeting with the IT team to determine the sequence of operations.
• Starting operations by entering computer commands.
• Monitoring error and stoppage messages.
• Provides data by operating a computer.
• Determines sequence of operations by studying production schedule.
• Performs defined tasks per documented instructions/processes.
• Prepares equipment for operations by accessing software in computer.
• Makes appropriate changes to the documentation, as needed.
• Correcting errors, loading paper, and adjusting equipment settings.
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and software errors.
• Responding to user requests and problems.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Maintaining supply inventory.
• Ensuring the security of the company’s computer systems.

Requirements for Computer Operator

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven experience of 1-2 years in similar role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Advanced knowledge of computer electronics including circuit boards, chips, processors, and peripheral equipment.
