IT/Computers Software industry is presently seeking skilled and detail oriented individuals as a Computer Operator to contribute to the efficient functioning of their IT infrastructure. The job holder will play a key role in managing and maintaining computer systems and operations.
Responsibilities of Computer Operator
- Monitor computer systems and networks for performance and errors
- Run and control computer systems and applications
- Set controls on computers to run job tasks
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups and system updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, or networks
- Coordinate with IT staff for system upgrades and installations
- Generate reports on system performance and issues
- Ensure security and confidentiality of data
Requirements of Computer Operator
- Certification in computer operations or relevant field is a plus
- Proven experience of 1-2 years as a Computer Operator or in a similar IT role
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
