Communications Specialist NMC Corporate Abu Dhabi

The Arabic Communications Specialist at NMC Healthcare is responsible for ensuring effective and culturally appropriate communication between NMC and its Arabic-speaking audience. This role involves translating written content directly, or through a translation agency, providing guidance on culturally relevant content, and providing interpretation, as required. The Specialist collaborates with teams to maintain consistent messaging, stays updated on cultural nuances, and contributes to strategies for engaging Arabic-speaking stakeholders. 

Responsibilities of Communications Specialist

Communications and Marketing Excellence:

  • With a dedicated focus on Arabic communications, support NMC’s corporate communications team in the implementation of external and internal communications strategies, content creation, and events.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department to develop marketing and communications content in Arabic. This includes the management of the Arabic translation process, and/or drafting of Arabic content.
  • Standardize and manage an Arabic glossary to ensure correct and consistent use of Arabic terminology across all content produced.
  • Liaise with Arabic media outlets on press release distribution. Manage Arabic media requests for interviews, statements, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Emiratization team on NMC’s participation in local events and activities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the completion of communications tasks and responsibilities, as required

Quality Management:

  • Ensure marketing content is linguistically accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligns with NMC’s brand messaging.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging across various communication channels and materials to contribute to a cohesive brand image.
  • Implement rigorous proofreading processes to eliminate errors and enhance the overall quality of written materials.
  • Establish a feedback loop for continuous improvement based on internal and external input, adapting content and plans accordingly.
  • Ensure marketing materials comply with industry regulations, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
  • Provide ongoing training to team members to enhance cultural awareness and sensitivity, minimizing the risk of cultural sensitivities

Project management duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback on Arabic content and cultural appropriateness to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Oversee and manage Arabic communication projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated communication efforts
  • Contribute to the creative culture of the communications and marketing team, encouraging creative thinking and continuous improvement in Arabic communications.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Communications Specialist at NMC Healthcare:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a communication and/or marketing role.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in both written and spoken Arabic and English , with a strong grasp of grammar, vocabulary, and regional dialects.
  • English proficiency is also very important. This role requires a confident and thorough understanding of the strategies, quality expectations, and messaging, in order to conceptually Arabize/translate content to Arabic.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles.
  • Ability to develop effective content and strategies tailored to Arabic-speaking audiences.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and tools, including social media, SEO, to reach and engage Arabic-speaking consumers online.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within multicultural teams and building relationships with stakeholders in the Arabic-speaking market.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms relevant B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in marketing to ensure compliance with regulations and cultural norms.
