Job Description
This full-time Commis I – Garde Manger role at the iconic Shangri-La Dubai is a proper luxury-hotel cold-kitchen gig right on Sheikh Zayed Road with insane Burj Khalifa views. You’ll be prepping salads, appetisers, seafood platters, cold cuts and canapés for the hotel’s restaurants, banquets and VIP events – everything has to look and taste five-star perfect. Pay is AED 2,800–3,500/month all-inclusive + service charge (real take-home around AED 4,500–6,000/month once tips are in), single accommodation, flights, medical, 30 days leave, duty meals and full Shangri-La worldwide travel perks. Rotating shifts, 48 hrs/week. Perfect for passionate cold-kitchen chefs who want to level up in one of Dubai’s top addresses.

Job Title
Commis I – Garde Manger (Cold Kitchen)
Responsibilities
- Prep salads, terrines, sushi, cold cuts, desserts.
- Plate for à-la-carte, buffet and banqueting.
- Keep fridges spotless and rotated.
- Follow recipes to the gram.
- Help with mise-en-place for breakfast/lunch/dinner.
- Assist senior chefs when needed.
Requirements
Education
Culinary diploma or apprenticeship.
Experience
1–3 years in luxury hotel or high-end restaurant cold section.
Must Have
- Fluent English.
- Strong knife skills and plating eye.
- Able to handle high pressure.
- Valid UAE work eligibility or willing to transfer.
Nice to Have
- Previous 5-star or Shangri-La experience.
- HACCP knowledge.
