Job Purpose of A Commis Chef

The job purpose is to assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.

• Responsible to provide an excellent and consistent level of service to customers.
• Responsible to prepare a consistent, high quality food product.
• Ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept and Hyatt International standards.

Qualification & Experience

• High school.
• Culinary Education or certification.
• 1 year work experience as Commis Chef or 2 years as apprentice in a hotel with good standards.

Skills Desired

• Must have basic culinary skills.
• Knowledge of good hygiene.
