Jumeirah Group presently has job opening for eligible candidate for position of a Commis 1. The aspiring candidate will work at Zabeel House by Jumeirah the Greens (a subsidiary of Jumeirah Group) and join the Culinary department in Dubai. Job Purpose of A Commis 1

The main purpose of the role is to assist the team in the daily operation and to ensure the smooth running of the section and see that all areas of section maintain as per standards.

Duties of A Commis 1

• Complete day-to-day activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment procedures, instructions and controls.
• Follow established recipe and plating guide provided, to exact specification.
• Maintain and organize their station and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion to meet the Chef’s expectation.
• Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or Culinary graduate.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience or a beginner.

Certification

• Possess internationally approved Food Safety Certificate.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Working with multi-cultural teams.
• Good comprehension of the English languag.
• Team player.
