Job Title
Commis 1 – Main Kitchen
Responsibilities
- Prep ingredients and gear for daily kitchen ops.
- Team up with the Chef de Partie to keep things smooth.
- Share updates or guest feedback with the Sous Chef quickly.
- Stick to HACCP rules and Dubai’s food safety standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean as a whistle, no mess left behind.
- Help plate dishes to match Pullman’s luxe style.
- Pitch in during busy shifts, like events or peak hours.
- Report any kitchen snags or stock issues to the boss fast.
- Follow recipes and prep methods to a T.
- Keep workstations tidy and ready for action.
- Work with the kitchen crew for seamless service.
- Handle ingredients carefully to cut down on waste.
- Join in on training or green initiatives when needed.
- Stay on top of kitchen logs and safety checks.
- Chip in with extra tasks, as the Chef de Partie calls it.
Requirements
Education
No degree needed; culinary training or certs a bonus.
Experience
Previous kitchen experience in a 5-star hotel is a big plus.
Skills
- Got a flair for food prep and a passion for service.
- Works well with the kitchen gang under pressure.
- Solid communicator, sharing updates with chefs.
- Reliable, rocking up ready for every shift.
