Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to join our growing healthcare technology company. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing the cost of services, pricing strategy, and cost transformation initiatives. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s financial success and growth.
Responsibilities
- Costing of Services: Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost structure for all services provided by the company. Ensure that the costs accurately reflect the company’s operating expenses and that they are properly reflected in the pricing strategy.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement a pricing strategy that maximizes the company’s profitability while ensuring that the prices remain competitive. This includes the regular review of prices, benchmarking vs competitors, identifying price gaps, and making recommendations for price changes where appropriate.
- Cost Transformation: Identify and lead cost transformation initiatives that will improve the company’s overall cost structure and competitiveness. This will include reviewing and optimizing processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency.
- Financial Analysis & Modelling: Perform regular financial analysis to monitor the impact of the company’s pricing and cost strategies. Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on key performance indicators, including revenue, margins, and profitability. Support business case preparing through robust financial modeling and investment case assessment.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to ensure that pricing and cost strategies are aligned with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CPA) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, cost management, ideally within a healthcare or technology industry
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, including development of business insights and compelling presentations for senior stakeholders (internal and external)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
