Job Description

Duties of Cluster Director of Revenue
- Financial: Contribute to the formulation and manage the implementation of inventory and pricing plans, based on sound commercial analysis and in line with the corporate revenue management strategy, in order to ensure the effective achievement of the individual unit’s (IBU) revenue management targets. Review Rate Integrity across all channels and communicate parity issues with distribution team. Manage market research efforts related to the IBU’s competition and guest preferences as well as economic variables affecting supply and demand or price elasticity, in order to support the development of accurate operational and financial room revenue forecasts.
- Operational: Monitor and report the IBU’s key revenue performance metrics (occupancy levels, RevPAR, etc.), in order provide visibility on its financial performance and to recommend corrective action when required. Effectively lead efforts to coordinate strategies between the segments and assist in moving displaced business from one hotel into another.
- Leadership: Ensure culture of collaboration and achievement within the department. Embrace change and encourage teams to adapt. Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal stakeholders. Manage a high performing team, in fast paced, dynamic environment, whilst remaining focused on goals.
- Functional Accountabilities: Top line revenue planning – Forecast & Budget.
- Rate Positioning strategy.
- Business optimization through Room mix, channel mix, regional mix and segment mix.
- Cost of sales review to ensure profitable business decisions.
- Daily check and resolving rate leakage i.e “partner offer” in key OTA partners , Booking.com and Expedia.
- Ensure rate mix strategy to always support rate parity across all channels.
- Train reservation managers and supervisors on system understanding and related operations.
- Lead / Chair weekly and monthly revenue meetings.
- Constantly review task processes and team productivity in ensuring that work standards are consistently met.
Eligibility Requirements
Requirements for role of Cluster Director of Revenue are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in senior role within Revenue management (preferably from cluster properties).
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent understanding of Travel click & Amadeus connectivity.
- Expert in Revenue management tools.
- Excellent knowledge on using extranets of OTA’s and Wholesalers.
- Expert in Opera.
