Job Responsibilities of Clinical Psychologist

• Counsel patients, families to help them understand problems, define goals and develop realistic action plans.
• Assessing the general mental health of patients, their mental abilities and behavior through conducting a variety of Psychological tests including Psychometric Test, One-on-One interviews and direct behavioral observations.
• Advise patients on how they could be helped by counseling.
• Carrying out evaluation of mental health needs of patients and establishing a diagnosis and a plan of treatment.
• Evaluate the result of counseling methods to determine the reliability and validity of treatments.
• Provide assessments and recommendations for appropriate treatments.
• Working diligently with clinical doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and other Psychologist as part of multidisciplinary team to address the mental health issues of patients.
• Developing, implementing and monitoring treatment programs including counseling and therapy.

Prerequisites of Clinical Psychologist

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Clinical Psychologist at Zulekha Hospital:

• Education: Bachelor degree in the field of Psychology & Master Degree/Postgraduate Doctoral in Psychology.
• Experience: 2 plus years’ experience from Hospital background.
• Medical License: DHA Eligibility letter/DHA active license/ MOH active license as Clinical Psychologist.
• Preferred candidate with an experience in Child Psychology.
