About the Role

As a Classroom Assistant at Aldar Education, you will provide essential support for individual pupils and groups of pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Furthermore, you will enable students to fully participate in a range of activities during the school day while providing for their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Moreover, this role involves assisting in the implementation of individual education programmes, supporting pupils with additional needs, and helping class teachers maintain pupil records and prepare learning materials. The position is based at Al Bateen Academy in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual and groups of pupils to enable full participation in classroom activities
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor student progress
• Support pupils with additional needs including emotional, behavioural, and social skill development
• Give group instruction as prescribed by the teacher and provide individual instruction
• Monitor and check pupils’ work while in progress and keep students on task
• Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records, photocopying, and other support tasks
• Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work
• Supervise pupils in classrooms and other school locations

Requirements

• Minimum secondary school certificate
• English language skills or proficiency in the school curriculum language
• UAE National candidates only
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Positive attitude and commitment to school policies and procedures
