Civil/Structural Designer at Duncan & Ross will be responsible to develop and deliver high-quality structural designs and drawings for projects within the oil & gas sector. This role plays a critical part in the engineering phase of projects, ensuring that all structural components meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This is a mid level full time role. Duties of A Civil/Structural Designer
- Develop and prepare detailed structural designs and drawings for various projects in the oil & gas sector.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create accurate and efficient design solutions that meet project specifications and standards.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
- Create and review technical documents, including design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are aligned with project requirements and timelines.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools for structural design and drafting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Identify and address any design-related issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of design work and project documentation.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Civil/Structural Designer are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in civil structural design within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in the oil & gas industry, particularly in the engineering phase.
- Extensive experience working with EPC contracting companies.
- Strong proficiency in structural design and analysis software, such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Tekla, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Must be available to join immediately.
