Role of Civil Specialist

A Civil Specialist / Engineer (Marine) at ADNOC Logistics & Services (Abu Dhabi, UAE) will have the job role to generate Detailed 2D/ 3D design Drawings and Sketches for Complex Equipment. This includes Heavy Machinery, Cranes, Lifting / Handling Equipment and Offshore Structures.

Responsibilities of Civil Specialist

  • Develop detailed Structural, Outfitting and piping drawings for Offshore Construction, Lifting Operations and Installation projects.
  • Establish Liaison with project Stakeholders in order to understand the nature of the project activities and to Calculate Requirements and develop Specifications as needed.
  • Create manual and Computer-based Modelling, Schematic and blueprint software. Create 2D & 3D drawings for Project Planning and Execution as required.
  • Generate Material and Equipment requirements based on the proposed design and drawings.
  • Maintain Database of standard operating Blueprints and Catalogue of available equipment and services.
  • Support the project teams in the Identification of synergy opportunities across multiple projects. Minimize large Construction, Equipment usage, and Installation running costs.
  • Incorporate changes or modifications to technical drawings and blueprints according to the suggestions of the project engineers.
  • Prepare Technical Specification packages based Technical requirements / designs as needed.
  • Support in the Identification of project activities and tasks. Comply to standards and attend technical meetings or surveys based.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Degree from a Technical college also acceptable.
  • Experience in Computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in Offshore Projects related to the Oil & Gas Industry.

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth Knowledge in relevant Oil & Gas Offshore projects.
  • Sound Knowledge in Oil & Gas Production Operations.
  • Proficient in English.
