Civil Inspector Duncan & Ross Dubai

Duncan & Ross is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Inspector with expertise in steel structural inspection to join their dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, particularly in steel structural inspection, and a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations. Duties of A Civil Inspector

• Conduct thorough inspections of steel structural components at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand project requirements and identify potential issues.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of steel structural workmanship, materials, and installation techniques.
• Document inspection findings, including non-conformities and deviations from approved plans, and prepare detailed reports for project stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address construction issues and resolve technical challenges.
• Conduct site visits and participate in meetings with project teams to provide technical guidance and support.
• Verify adherence to safety protocols and procedures on construction sites to promote a safe working environment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and assist in their professional development.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in steel structural inspection and civil engineering.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Civil Inspector are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector) preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on steel structural inspection.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., AISC, ASTM, ASCE).
