Purpose of A Civil Engineer Facilities Maintenance

Responsible for supporting the Senior Engineer in all civil related engineering works in full coordination with other engineers, supervisor, coordinator, end users and the organization’s staff and ensuring that all civil works are performed according to approved policies and procedures, safety, statutory and contractual requirements.

Duties of A Civil Engineer Facilities Maintenance

• Ensures that all works are carried out in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, instructions and programs.
• Reviews design specifications, blueprints and other technical drawings.
• Liaises with the consultants and contractors for the approval.
• Researches the best engineering solution to meet with facility needs within the defined budget.
• Produces detailed designs and documentation for the construction and implementation of civil engineering projects.
• Prepares engineering calculations required for the design of projects.
• Manages to attend meetings with the requesting facility/ outsourced firms and keeping all informed of progress.
• Plans and prepares estimation costs for new projects as per the instruction of Senior Engineer.
• Organizes the delivery of materials, plant and equipment needed for the project and supervising labour.
• Analyses and interprets reports on loading, labour, productivity, quality, materials and performance.
• Oversee and identify matters related to faulty construction and ensure to carry out appropriate rectification.
• Ensures all drawings produced by contractors for accuracy and keeping the relevant records updated.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or in a relevant technical discipline Or Diploma in relevant field with 3 years of additional experience.
• Desired: Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or in a relevant technical discipline.

Experience

• Required: 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
• Desired: Experience in a large healthcare facility.
