Duties as Civil Engineer Procurement

• Responsible for developing detailed sourcing and procurement plan in consultation with strategy and leadership team at GPO.
• Accountable for strategic category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract lifecycle management in order to drive business objectives of the GPO.
• Conduct assessments to identify and qualify vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Draft and distribute RFPs to potential vendors, outlining the specifications and requirements for products or services needed.
• Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms and conditions.
• Keep procurement activities compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure the purchased materials meet all necessary quality metrics.
• Oversee the entire ordering process, from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers for long-term partnership and potential cost savings.
• Serve as the point of contact between engineering departments and suppliers to clarify technical specifications or resolve issues.
• Administer supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet both short-term needs and long-term strategic goals.

Education & Experience

To qualify for the role of Civil Engineer – Procurement, following is the required criteria:

• Bachelor’s in technology (Civil) or related field is (Civil Engineer).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a construction procurement department, worked as a Civil Engineer and has experience in construction of healthcare projects, facility management, fit-out and renovation.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in CAD.
• Knowledge of UAE authority rules & regulations
• Well versed in P2P cycle.
• Proficient in 3D design.
• Must have UAE valid driving license.
