Responsibilities of A Chief Software Officer

• The Chief Software Officer reports directly to the CEO and will have a big impact on the future of this company.
•  Play a crucial part within the Healthcare/Biotech start-up, helping grow the engineering teams as well as developing new and existing products, and working closely with the stakeholders.
• Responsible for creating the strategic road maps for all new and existing products.
• Lead and manage the software development team and be the bridge between them and the bioinformatics division.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of Chief Software Officer are as under:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
• Experience in the following areas will be beneficial for this role: AI, Bioinformatics, DevOps, Cloud Computing, Healthcare.

• Problem solver and an innovative thinker who can lead and motivate teams.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are crucial, enabling effective collaboration with multiple teams across the business.
• Good understanding of the bioinformatics process and software development methodologies e.g., Agile, Scrum, etc.
