Responsibilities of Chief Accountant
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.
- Review and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to identify trends and variances.
- Ensuring the financial reporting is accurate, submitted on time and in compliance with regulations.
- Development of financial strategies, the creation and management of financial plans and budgets, and the analysis of market trends.
- Manage the company’s financial planning that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Plan and perform risk management duties that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Determine finance KPIs that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Develop and monitor objectives for the financial department.
- Create policies that allow each department to work in the most organized way.
Requirements of Chief Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must.
- Qualified ACCA or CA.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in same field.
- Experience in auditing company is an added advantage.
- Experience in Team leading.
Skills and Abilities Desired
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Should have worked in Retail or Manufacturing Company.
- Preference will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
- Excellent knowledge in IFRS Standard
- Excellent knowledge in Taxation in Dubai (VAT, CIT, Excise tax, Customs Duty).
- Excellent understanding of transfer pricing.
