Fakeeh University Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Accountant / Finance Manager to join them in Dubai. The Finance Manager will be responsible for day to day running of the financial services department. This includes running the routine financial operations, including month end, cash management, regulatory reporting, year end accounting, AP and AR etc.
Responsibilities of Chief Accountant
- Assist financial controller in handling full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc.
- Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations.
- Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
- Perform project cost forecasts / budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
- Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergy.
- Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting for submission.
- Review and approve payment vouchers and journal entries.
- Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
- Assist in issuing project cost reports for review and approval.
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
- Support Financial Controller in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements.
- Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost overruns.
- Adheres to internal and external deadlines.
- Work with external auditors during financial and operational audits.
- Maintain system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets.
- Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information.
- Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
- Perform other related duties like invoices, scholarships, money management, payables supervision, management accounting etc.
Qualification & Experience
Following are the requirements for the role of Chief Accountant / Finance Manager at Fakeeh University Hospital:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the financial field.
- Experience in hospital finance, (preferably private hospital).
- Experience of SAP essential.
