Charge Nurse Medcare Hospital Dubai

Medcare is seeking a qualified and experienced Charge Nurse to work at one of their hospitals in Dubai. This job opening was announced by the company on December 21, 2023 with the job ID 19950. The incumbent will direct and coordinate activities of Patient Care Administration within Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities of Charge Nurse

• Responsible for the recommendation, development and implementation of policies and procedures in ICU, and for keeping their senior informed of both progress and potential problems.
• Overall supervision of ICU department.
• Demonstrate competence in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care needs.
• Liaise with the Nurse Manager/Nurse Supervisor to ensure the patient care load is addressed with the appropriate staffing and skill mix in an environment that is safe for the patient and nurse.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and family-centered care.
• Ensure the nursing staff works within their capacity, experience, training and scope of practice.
• Monitor and coordinate effective and efficient utilization of human resources, consumables and equipment.
• Monitor staff performance, providing regular constructive feedback, coaching, guidance and support to team members on the shift.
• Responsible for monitoring direct and indirect patient care to achieve an optimum patient outcome.
• Coordinate referrals and utilize available resources for the provision of comprehensive care.

Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role for Charge Nurse at Medcare Hospital:

• Bachelor degree in nursing.
• 6-8 years clinical experience post qualification in an appropriate & relevant healthcare settings.
• 2 years’ experience as a team leader in a particular unit.
• Valid/current national license.
• BLS certified.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of health care systems.
• Ability to interact, relate to/ work with, and support the activities of a diverse multidisciplinary workforce.
• Excellent communication skills.
