Job Description

Responsibilities of Catering Coordinator
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, event planners, and vendors throughout the catering process.
- Assist clients in selecting menus, designing event layouts, and customizing catering packages to meet their needs and preferences.
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, equipment rental, staffing, and transportation arrangements.
- Communicate with kitchen staff, chefs, and serving teams to ensure timely preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages.
- Maintain accurate records of event details, client preferences, and billing information using catering management software or databases.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote catering services, generate leads, and secure new business opportunities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess venue suitability, review setup requirements, and address any special considerations or challenges.
- Manage inventory of catering supplies, equipment, and décor items, coordinating with suppliers and vendors to replenish stock as needed.
- Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown, overseeing staff assignments, timelines, and quality standards to ensure flawless execution.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally to exceed client expectations.
Requirements of Catering Coordinator
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field preferred.
- Certification in event planning, catering management, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years in catering, event planning, or hospitality industry, with a strong background in customer service and client relations.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Proficiency in catering management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technology tools.
- Creative problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing client needs and preferences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules and client demands.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, catering industry trends, and best practices in event management.
