Job Purpose of A Category Manager (Home Entertainment)

To drive the growth and profitability of the Home Entertainment category by executing effective merchandising and business strategies.

Your Job Responsibilities As A Category Manager (Home Entertainment) At Amazon UAE

  • Act as the ‘business owner‘ for assigned category, possessing a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that has impact on business (this entails owning fore casting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the business, along with responsibility for driving projects and promotions to achieve business goals).
  • Have an understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends / events.
  • Monitor competitor / industry developments.
  • Maximize Amazon’s business profitability and seek expansion ideas.
  • Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential.
  • Use same customer knowledge to advocate for & drive delivery of site features that give Amazon customers with great shopping experience.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Manage supplier / partner contracts, manage day to day relationships and negotiate and secure marketing funds.
  • Create business plans for new opportunities & develop project plans for the launch of new features.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams and communicate with all stake holders, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.

Qualification & Experience?

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • 5 plus years of professional or military experience.
  • 3 plus years with excel experience.
  • 5 plus years of retail, operations, product or program management or business management.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • 7 plus years of retail, operations, product or program management or business management.
  • Knowledge of Excel and extracting data through varied reporting tools in order to drive and influence business decisions.
