Category Manager in Cheese & Deli at GMG in GMG Building ,Umm Hurair Rd, Oud Metha, Dubai, UAE is responsible in controlling effectively the Deli/FTG department within the Everyday Goods ensuring the achievement of sales, gross margin and net profit against budget. Overall good knowledge base regarding Deli, Cheese & Food to Go with a background in culinary and ability to ensure NPD with the Highest ROI Responsible for the overall management of the Deli/FTG Team Department’s planning, budgeting, target and sales analysis of all Fresh Sections. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-25000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Category Manager

• Oversee the Gross Margin, line plan, Rebate and fiscal budget
• Develop Deli/Cheese as a destination category & ensure development of Food to Go
• The ability to develop NPD and ensure implementation across the format
• Ensure assortments are aligned with each store’s specific cultural, economic and social features.
• Oversee the establishment of a competitive assortment offer, to secure Everyday Goods a leading position in the country.
• Develop the price image and freshness image. Initiate and motivate comparative studies between Sections that can contribute to the efficiency of the commercial concepts.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive best-in-class service and quality goods as or above set standards.
• Ensure product availability and service level at any point of time and ensure that the presentation of planogram is in line with agreed plans.
• Monitor and report competitor activities (Prices, range, quality etc.) and forward solutions to be best in class.
• Ensure that product presentation is in line within set guidelines and standards and take corrective actions if needed.
• Ensure freshness of the offered goods within the set internal quality standards and requirements as per applicable local rules and regulations Development of Concepts Maintain rebate structure in line with EBITA expectations.
• Ensure EBITA achievement in line with Everyday objectives Marketing and promotions.

Requirements for Role of Category Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing or equivalent certificates and or on Job Experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial capacity with Fresh Background Commercial.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Strong understanding of numerical, analytical and also commercial.
• The ability to Strategic planning for total fresh section 1 to 1 & total Commercial Team.
• Revenue Management.
• Negotiation.
