Responsibilities of Cashier

Greet customers as they enter the store and provide friendly and efficient service at the checkout counter.
Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment and provide accurate change to customers.
Answer customer questions and address concerns or inquiries about products, prices, and store policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and ensure a neat and orderly store environment.
Monitor and manage inventory levels for essential items such as shopping bags, receipt paper, and cash register supplies.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operation of the checkout process.
Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Upsell and promote special offers, discounts, and loyalty programs to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
Assist with other tasks as needed, including restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and assisting with store opening and closing procedures.

Requirements of Cashier

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience of 1-2 years in retail or customer service preferred but not required.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic math skills and proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
