Cardiovascular Technician Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Abu Dhabi

Cardiovascular Technician at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Al Tibbiya, Abu Dhabi, UAE will performs advanced cardiac diagnostic and interventional (if applicable) techniques including Cardiac Echocardiography, Cardiac Stress testing, cardiac catheterizations and interventions, device implant and follow-up and ambulatory cardiac procedures. Interprets and reports on various cardiac procedures. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 4000-8000 AED/month.

Key Responsibilities of Cardiovascular Technician

• Perform electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings on adult and pediatric patients inclusive of standard 12 lead and extended 15 lead variations.
• Advanced analysis and interpretation of ECG.
• Perform and analyze ambulatory heart and blood pressure monitoring.
• Perform and assist physicians during various stress testing protocols including treadmill testing, myocardial perfusion stress testing, and tilt table testing.
• Generate comprehensive clinical reports for physician review and sign-off.
• Prompt notification and documentation of critical results to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Familiarity with computer-based systems within the department – specific to the individual job role. (Malaffi, Talabi, Oracle, CAFM, Pacemaker database, Echo image archive).
• Correct application of test results to the patient’s electronic medical record.
• Assistance to senior physiologists/physicians during complex cardiac investigations.
• Individual responsibility for maintaining continued professional development.
• Actively participate in departmental training, audits, and improvement plans.
• General housekeeping within the department – maintenance of consumable.
• Correct storage and maintenance of cardiac equipment and monitors, referring to the biomedical department when necessary in line with local policy.
• Accurate maintenance of daily equipment calibrations.

Required Qualifications:

Following are the prerequisites for the role of Cardiovascular Technician at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

• Cardiovascular program (Minimum two (2) years course duration) current National License.
• Graduate of an approved cardiovascular technology or clinical physiology (cardiology) program leading to a degree of NLT 3 years diploma or a degree or 3-year diploma in Radiography.
• Two (2) years of experience post certification in the related field.
• BLS certified.
• ACLS recommended.
