Duties of Cake Designer
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and design preferences for their cakes.
- Create custom cake designs based on client input and requirements.
- Select and use appropriate baking techniques, tools, and ingredients to create visually appealing and delicious cakes.
- Decorate cakes using various techniques such as piping, fondant sculpting, and sugar crafting.
- Stay updated on current cake design trends and techniques to continuously improve skills and offer innovative designs.
- Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, ensuring timely procurement as needed.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely delivery and setup of cakes for events.
Requirements for Cake Designer
- High School Diploma.
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Cake Designer or similar rrole.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong artistic abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent baking and decorating skills.
- Knowledge of different types of cakes, fillings, and icings.
- Familiarity with various cake decorating techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with clients.
