CAD Specialist/Operator ENEC/Nawah Abu Dhabi

CAD Specialist/Operator at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation provide design change skills and knowledge throughout the planning, execution, and post close-out phases of design engineering activities for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) as per the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection, to ensure achievement of overall design and objectives. Execute work related to maintaining plant design configuration documentation, including drawing change (as-built) incorporations and drawing changes in support of plant modifications using designer tools and programs.

Responsibilities of CAD Specialist/Operator

• Support in the management of functional locations, equipment master database to ensure accurate plant records for safety & maintainability.
• Participate in the configuration management process to keep the plant in configuration control.
• Execute technical design engineering activities & modifications efforts to support improved reliability, efficiency in the plants.
• Review drawings mark-ups from engineering and translate into complete and accurate drawing changes to ensure up-to date records and drawings.
• Execute drawing changes in accordance with design standards to ensure high quality and compliance with regulations.
• Check other designers’ work products for accuracy and compliance to design standards to increase overall quality of work products.
• Keep full competency in the use and maintenance of all designer software tools and databases to be efficient.
• Participate in training to equip necessary technical knowledge and skills.
• Support outage and/or the ERO to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations this may require shift work/off hours support.
• Follow all relevant company’s Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance of work as per sound management practices.
• Apply policies to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health, safety, environment and various individuals who get affected by the employee’s acts, omissions at work.
• Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions that relates to crisis management, business continuity.
