Job Purpose of A Cable Laying Supervisor

Lead and supervise installation and maintenance of cables for offshore and onshore projects, ensuring safety, quality and project timelines.

Your Job Duties As A Cable Laying Supervisor At NPCC Abu Dhabi, UAE

• Train and develop the crew in the operation, maintenance and repair of cable laying equipment.
• Report detailed job activities to Barge Superintendent on daily basis.
• Ensure a complete and upto date inventory of available spare items / equipment is always maintained.
• Check that all the items and accessories required for the cable laying scope are available onboard the barge.
• Keep a well documented log of all accessories which are mobilized with cable laying equipment.
• Supervise the dismantling & demobilization of the cable laying equipment and its maintenance during the idle period.
• Maintain a log of equipment condition before and after cable laying activities to record and indicate specific equipment that requires maintenance works.
• Liaise regularly with the Chief Mechanic to ensure the timely inspection & maintenance of equipment.
• Take necessary actions to establish a safe working environment.
• Compliance in line with Company codes and HSE standards.

Qualification & Experience

• Secondary (10 years) & a discipline specific technical diploma with 9 years of experience.

OR

• Secondary (10 years) with 12 years of experience of in cable laying related field.
