Buyer at Volkswagen in Al Nabooda Automobiles Dubai in Juma Al Nabooda Building, Khalifa,146 Sheikh Zayed Rd, Dubai, UAE will appraise and Purchase used cars, whilst recording them on their digital appraisal tool on a daily basis. key objectives are to increase Trade-ins to assist sell more new and used cars, and purchase “retail cars” for used car sales targets. To deliver an exceptional level of customer and colleague service at all times, while meeting commercial requirements. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 5000-8000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Buyer
- Appraise & value customer vehicles that come in through different sources accurately.
- All prices (subject to physical check by workshop/RTA) to be delivered within the shortest time possible (Own brand 15 Minutes, Non Franchise 60 minutes maximum)
- Source Volkswagen used cars for re-sale that fit within the certified programs parameters (Other makes also considered moving into 2024)
- Responsible to achieve trade-in and direct purchase targets and KPI’s set.
- Purchase the right vehicle, model mix to get the right use car inventory at the right price.
- Trade cars to be shown to wholesalers, traders to get minimum 2 bids, invoiced & delivered within 48 Hours of coming into stock.
- Follow up all hot prospects – trade-in enquiries with sales consultants / customers.
- Retail & Trade stock review and update with managers weekly
- Weekly meetings with allocated SC, to discuss performance and course any action.
- Add reputable traders to the bidding list monthly, Ensure only registered traders with ANA are eligible to bid.
- Purchases & trade in report to NSM.
- List of prospects for new month.
- Operational: To work in conjunction with all SC allocated under your team, maintaining a professional standard and breeding a strong relationship of trust.
- Through the effective use of a follow up process, maintain regular contact with all new and existing customers to ensure that relationships are maintain for potential repeat business.
- Ensure that all customer information, buying activities, vehicle documentation and other relevant information is kept in a timely manner and maintained accurately and comprehensively.
Personal Development
- Engage in continuous professional development; keep fully up-to-date with new products launched by principal.
- Arrange an annual appraisal with your line manager in accordance with the company’s appraisal process.
- Attend regular staff meetings, using them as a basis for the communication of any ideas for improvement in processes, cost savings and revenue increases.
Requirements for Role of Buyer
- High School Educated.
- 2+ years experience in Customer facing buying & selling role.
- Experience in a high pressure, quick turn around German brand business (European is option)
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Proven achievement of buyers targets (References required).
- Extensive contacts to procure cars within the UAE & GCC.
- Negotiation.
- Planning and Organising.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Can-do and go getter attitude a must.
- Computer literacy in word & excel.
