Marina Home Interiors has immediate vacancy for an experienced buyer in the premium/luxury furniture industry in Dubai. Job holder will be responsible to develop and expand the category of Furnishings & Decor. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative team player with outstanding communication, a superior sense of style, and a passion for outstanding work who will oversee the entire order process. Also will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment and maintain necessary records.

Responsibilities of Buyer Kids Furniture & Decor

  • Develop & execute sourcing strategies and ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Evaluate & select suppliers through strategic sourcing and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Analyze & negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and ensure selection of suppliers is based on quality, terms, and delivery competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain assortment plans and SKU counts.
  • Monitor customer trends and competitor activity.
  • Analyze sales performance to maximize sales & margins.
  • Collaborate with Brand Development & Visual Merchandising teams to promote category performance.
  • Maximize e-Commerce opportunities by analyzing and improving category performance.

Requirements for Role of Buyer Kids Furniture & Decor

  • Bachelor’s degree fashion related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-end/premium furniture and decor.
  • Prior product development experience with range responsibility working for a similar design-led retailer and in a similar category.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Possess an understanding of buying plans and processes.
  • Direct sourcing and rapid purchasing experience.
  • Must possess strong commercial awareness of the market.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel / Word /PowerPoint).
  • Strong customer affinity, must be able to respond to customer needs.
