Majid Al Futtaim presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the budgeted volumes and value of the assigned category, ensuring Majid Al Futtaim Retail is recognized as a leader in customer service and also be responsible for attracting and building long-term partnership with new and existing customers.

Duties of Business Development Manager

  • Identify and build key customers within the hotels, restaurant and catering sector.
  • Plan to introduce new clients, increase product placement, and increase size of business with existing clients.
  • Increase the distribution coverage in identified sectors and regions.
  • Ensure products are sold in line with margin expectation to ensure the B2B function remains profitable.
  • Be responsible for the volumes, values and margins budgeted for the entire team in the identified region or sector.
  • Assist in setting performance targets, provide coaching and route planning, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Build relationships with customers based on consultative approach as a strategic partner.
  • Develop proper risk mitigation strategy for customers’ financial health to prevent bad debts.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the sourcing function.
  • Work with the different departments within MAF Retail to develop bespoke campaigns that attract customers while ensuring there is maximum financial benefit to the company.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility Requirements for role of a Business Development Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or management related field.
  • 6+ years in the related managerial function in Food Service, dealing specifically with HORECA.

  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • English (Full professional proficiency – Required).
