Job Overview of A Business Development Executive

  • Develop the assigned Business Development Executive’s sales territory in order to maintain and grow the DHL Market leadership position.
  • Achieve individual sales targets while meeting key customer needs.
  • In addition, manage territories in the absence of the existing Territory Managers to ensure no drop in customer support.

Your Duties As A Business Development Executive

  • Act as an ambassador for DHL at all times.
  • Attend to customer needs in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Develop high level of professional rapport with all customers.
  • Follow up on all customers enquiries and direct customer to the correct DHL department.
  • Acquire new DHL customers from the sourcing of Suspects through to the closure & effective Implementation of the customer’s account.
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of prospects through building a strong opportunity pipeline to meet revenue targets.
  • Establish customers agreements and ensure that pricing guidelines are always applied and profitability targets for customers are met.
  • Review those customers prices on regular basis.
  • Meet and exceed New Business Targets through acquisition of competitor held accounts.
  • Update Daily Sales Call Report and enter all calls and update the pipeline.
  • Develop and apply an approach to secure competitors and prospects business in the shortest time possible.
  • Establish Prospects pipeline to support this approach and target them accordingly.
  • Act a a Territory Manager to cover any ‘vacant’ territories to ensure the same service levels and sales pipeline progressions as a manne territory.
  • Manage the territory effectively by monitoring customer performance, loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Take appropriate correct action internally and/or with the customer.
  • Develop as a DHL Territory Manager to allow for a seamless transition when the time is required for replacement.
  • Promote DHL brand image and values through own appearance and behavior so that it reflects DHL high standards and develops customers relationship.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelors in Business Administration.

Experience

  • 2-3 years sales related experience.
  • Experience in a segmented service industry, air express industry or freight forward industry.

Skills & knowledge Desired

  • Good communication skills in English, knowledge of Arabic is mandatory.
  • Good interpersonal understanding & presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize work load.
  • Initiative / judgment to solve job related issues.
  • Excellent Selling Skills in a complex sale environment.
  • Good networking, negotiation skills and strong ability to impact and influence.
