Job Description

Seddiqi Holding is seeking a Brand Manager – Jewellery who will have the overall responsibility for effectively positioning and differentiating the assigned Jewellery Brand within AS&S’s brand portfolio, ensuring compliance of the brand strategy to AS&S’s and the Principal’s target market, through ongoing analysis and knowledge of category dynamics and brand image. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-35000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Brand Manager

  • Strategic Contribution
  • Formulates and implements brand strategy and plans to ensure that it is aligned with the objectives of the jewellery division and the organization.
  • Develops and manages the individual business plans and conducts a bi-annual business review with the Head of Brans, Commercial Director and General Manager.
  • Prepare a 3-year business strategy for the brands managed.
  • Proposes the pricing and discount strategy for the brands in line with principal strategy and guidelines, regional and territorial needs to the Head of Brands.
  • Proposes sales targets based on historical sales figures, seasonality, market trends and brand potential to the Head of Brands, in coordination with Retail and Finance.
  • Proposes purchasing budgets and manages purchases to optimize inventory and maximize sales potential.
  • Propose initiatives to increase the average price and the High jewellery sales of the brands managed.
  • Operational Accountabilities
  • Negotiate with brand principals on commercial terms, margins, consignment stock and other day-to-day requirements.
  • Assist the Head of Brands in the development and review of the contractual agreements.
  • Monitor market intelligence provided from data analytics and recommend appropriate sales strategies for the brand, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and exclusivity.
  • Coordinate with Retail around new products and exclusive launches to increase the brand’s reach to its exclusive customer base.
  • Identify effective methods to increase brand image and exclusive reputation amongst the target and jewellery audience in line with the brand strategy.
  • Coordinate the development and distribution of communication materials such as catalogs and brochures to loyal and exclusive customer base.
  • In coordination with the Principal and Head of Brand, determine models, merchandise, and units to support exclusive store openings.
  • Identify and set key performance indicators to assess the performance of the brand.

Relationship Management

  • Responsible for maintaining a good and valuable relationship with brand principals, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Play a role in exclusive client development by maximizing the performance of a motivated, innovated, and engaged brand sales team.
  • Hold quarterly performance review meetings with store management for each POS to discuss performance relative to expectations/plans, identify and leverage strengths, and close any identified gaps through appropriate training and support.
  • Establish and maintain direct communication with the principal regarding events, application, inventory, etc.
  • Inventory Management
  • Develop the stock distribution, allocation, and core assortment plans, based on Principal guidelines and requirements.
  • Communicate and discuss stock distribution, allocation, and assortment plans to relevant departments including Retail and Logistics.
  • Negotiate with brand principals on stock exchanges, aged stock returns and incentive schemes.
  • Propose and plan stock consolidations, slow moving stock schemes to ensure that the stock turn of the brands are at a healthy level
  • Make decisions and communicate with Head of Brands on internal stock transfers based on Retail Team requests, ensuring alignment with Brand Strategy.
  • Monitors and track orders, stock movement, and stock distribution, etc., in liaise with Logistics.
  • Ensure appropriate stock to sales ratio to avoid overstocking as it contradicts the exclusivity of brand image.
  • Marketing
  • Develop the Marketing Budget; liaise with Finance and Marketing, taking into consideration Principal requirements, guidelines, brand strategy, and purchasing budget.
  • Communicate Marketing Budget with Head of Brand to provide inputs and obtain approval from relevant authorities.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Team to develop and execute the Marketing Plan in alignment with the brand strategy and brand exclusivity.
  • Measure the impact/success rate of the marketing plans on brand performance following the execution of the marketing initiative.
  • Participate in marketing activities involving events, campaigns, and PR to increase brands’ image of exclusivity.

Requirements for Role of Brand Manager

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Brand Management, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years job related experience and 5 years of experience in brand management of jewellery and watches..
  • Experience in inventory management and marketing principles.
  • Experience in managing jewellery and exclusive brands.
