Biology Teacher – KS3 & Science – GEMS Education, Dubai

GEMS Education is recruiting a dedicated Biology Teacher to deliver Key Stage 3 Science and GCSE/A-Level Biology at one of its leading schools in Dubai. The ideal candidate will inspire students with a passion for the biological sciences and contribute to the school’s academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Biology and General Science across KS3, KS4 and KS5 year groups
• Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level Biology examinations
• Plan and deliver practical laboratory sessions in line with health and safety regulations
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments
• Lead or support science-related extra-curricular activities, field trips and STEM initiatives
• Attend departmental meetings, parent evenings and professional development sessions

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Science or a related field
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• At least 2 years of experience teaching Biology in a British curriculum school
• Experience with Edexcel, Cambridge or AQA examination boards
• Strong practical science teaching skills with the ability to manage laboratory work
• A commitment to continuous professional development

Salary and Benefits

• Tax-free salary: AED 12,000 – 18,000 per month
