Job Purpose of A Bell Attendant

The job purpose of a Bell Attendant is to assist hotel guests with their luggage and provide a welcoming and helpful first impression.

Duties of A Bell Attendant

  • Always have a smiling, helpful and friendly attitude towards colleagues and guests alike and always provide a courteous and professional service.
  • Open the car door for all guests arriving at or leaving from the main entrance in a polite and courteous manner and greet them with a warm smile.
  • Assist guests with loading & unloading of luggage as well as delivering it to and collecting it from the guest’s room ensuring that no damage is being done to any piece of luggage.
  • Deliver any faxes, messages, parcels, mail, newspapers, etc. to guest rooms in a timely manner and always verifying the guest’s name and room number.
  • Record any luggage deliveries and storages accurately on the correct form.
  • Assist guests with directions within the hotel (i.e. guide them to their room, a restaurant etc.)
  • Be aware of and follow all relevant SOPs and Jumeirah Policies & Procedures.
  • Issue luggage tags to the guests correctly.
  • Maintain a record of the car/taxi number plate for departing guests.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to keep the Lobby clean at all times.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • High Secondary School.

Experience

  • 2 years guest service experience in a 5-star Hotel.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Local area knowledge.
  • Extrovert.
