VOCO Dubai by IHG group is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Barista. The jobholder is responsible for providing Guests with food and drinks as requested in an efficient manner and according to proper procedure and Food and Beverage regulations.
Responsibilities of Barista
- Maintain a complete knowledge of coffee, beverages to advise guests and colleagues when necessary
- Take orders from guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and speciality beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Cleaning of service and seating areas
- Describe menu items and provide thoughtful recommendations to guests
- Service customers and take orders
- Order, receive and distribute stock supplies
- Receive and process guests’ payments
- Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.
Requirements of Barista
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years related experience in same capacity.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Excellent communications skills, English is a must.
- A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence to consistently. deliver and demonstrate voco service standards.
- A true “team-player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
