Job Description

Michael page has an opportunity for Backend Engineer(Go) to join a product based organization creating innovative digital solutions for a high growth industry. This is exciting role with a growing Tech business in Dubai. The candidate must have extensive experience with PostgreSQL and high load applications. 

Responsibilities of Backend Engineer

  • Manage and scale PostgreSQL databases to handle large volumes of data.
  • Implement and maintain robust messaging systems using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Work with Parquet for efficient data processing and storage.
  • Design and implement solutions for vertical and horizontal scaling, balancing loads effectively.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of network protocols and implement advanced security measures.
  • Maintain data consistency and durability in a high-load environment.

Requirements of Backend Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or any other relevant field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in developing high-load applications.
  • Experience with both vertical and horizontal scaling strategies.

Skills and Abilities Desired

  • Proficiency in Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Parquet.
  • Deep understanding of handling high-load systems (>100k requests/second).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, load balancers, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of data consistency and durability principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
