Job Purpose of An Avionics Technician

  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft electrical systems maintenance.
  • Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Job Duties of An Avionics Technician

  • Perform inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft and electrical equipments.
  • Inspect the aircrafts in accordance with applicable technical publications, regulations and company/local policies and procedures.
  • Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
  • Complete all forms, records and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM 738-751, technical publications, regulations and company / local policies and procedures.
  • Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support & on the Job training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce.
  • Attain gradual full capacity to carry out self sufficient aircraft electrical repair capability.
  • Carry out all assigned tasks by Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.
  • Perform any other tasks related to maintenance of aircraft as deemed necessary or which may fall within scope of job duties.

Qualification & Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • Graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance school or course required.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft avionic or electrician aviation maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years electrical repair on aircraft type.
  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license or industry equivalent.
  • Must be able to attain UAE driving license.
