Job Description

Mediclinic City Hospital is presently seeking applications of devoted candidates for the job position of an Audiologist in Dubai, UAE. Mediclinic is an international health care services group, founded in South Africa in 1983, with divisions in Switzerland, Southern Africa and Middle East. Job Purpose of An Audiologist

Assess patients with audiometric screening and rehabilitative audiology services for hearing loss and balance dis orders.

Your Job Duties As An Audiologist At Mediclinic City Hospital Dubai (UAE)

  • Conduct behavioural, electroacoustic or electro physiologic methods used to assess hearing, balance and neural system function and prepare a written report.
  • Measure sensory and motor evoked potentials.
  • Use results of electromyography and other electro diagnostic tests for purposes of neurophysiologic intraoperative monitoring.
  • Assess candidacy of persons with hearing loss for cochlear implants/ other implantable devices.
  • Provide fitting, programming and audiology rehabilitation to optimise device use.
  • Assess candidacy for hearing aids, fitting and programming of hearing aids / other listening devices.
  • Conduct hearing screening for newborn, children and adults.
  • Provide audiology rehabilitation services including speech reading, communication management, language development and auditory skill development.
  • Counsel for psychosocial adjustment to hearing loss for persons with hearing loss and their families.
  • Perform vestibular rehabilitation by manoeuvres and VRT.

Eligibility Criteria?

Education

  • Master’s degree in audiology or Master in Audiology and speech language pathology.

Experience

  • At least 2 years experience in same role.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional client service skills and sound client service experience.
