An Audiologist at American Hospital Dubai will assess and diagnose the patients with hearing disorders and implement necessary rehabilitation services or treatment plans. The role holder defines patient hearing impairment and balance disorder by conferring with referring physician.

Responsibilities of Audiologist

• Select and administer electrophysiological & other relevant tests operating diagnostic equipment.
• Determine type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on comprehension and speech.
• Conduct treatment programs hearing or speech problems in consultation with physicians, nurses, psychologists or other health care personnel.
• Recommend assistive devices according to client’s needs or nature of impairments.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt.
• Provides auditory evaluations & education by measuring & studying noise conditions, conducting hearing protection and hearing loss screening programs.
• Advise educators or other medical staff on speech or hearing topics.
• Carry out research on hearing or speech topics and use findings to help in development of procedures or treatments.
• Updates job knowledge by tracking new techniques and approaches.

Qualification & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Audiologist at American Hospital Dubai:

• Bachelors degree in audiology/speech language and hearing.
• Minimum 2 years experience in same role.
