Job Purpose of A Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Manager

• To undertake Compliance Monitoring and Assurance related duties and provide assurance that ADIB Capital, as an Asset Management & Investment Banking firm.
• Meets its compliance obligations under DFSA and DIFC rules, along with compliance with relevant internal policies of ADIB Capital and ADIB Group.

Duties of A Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Manager

• Performing Onboarding, KYC and CDD of the clients that includes the collective investment funds and key parties
• Perform the periodic reviews as per the risk rating of the client.
• Ensure the FATCA/CRS self-assessment forms are adequately filled by the Clients.
• Escalating the suspicious results from Client Due Diligence to MLRO.
• Ongoing monitoring and screening of clients, UBOs, controllers via world check and record keeping for evidence on daily screening.
• Reviewing the alerts generated in the world check system and escalating the true matches to MLRO for investigation and reporting to FIU.
• Scanning the client database of ADIBC against the EOCN queries or updates in relation to UNSC and Local UAE sanctions list and assisting MLRO in taking TFS measures.
• Checking or Searching the Database and System logs as and when any query received from other Domestic Competent Regulatory Authority and escalating the results to MLRO.
• Acting as the Deputy MLRO and using the credentials on FIU systems (goAML, IEMS) to check and respond to queries in absence of MLRO.
• Completing and responding to KYC requests received from Business Partners.
• Contributing to the Quarterly Compliance Reports, Semi Annual MLRO Report, Annual AML Business Risk Assessment Report and Regulatory Business Plan.
• Tracking the regulatory changes and assisting in the annual review of AML policy, Client verification and Compliance Manual.
• Surveillance monitoring in relation to managing client discretionary portfolio via bloomberg.
• Assisting & keeping the oversight on the fund administrator to perform the KYC related Quality Assurance Reviews on the underlying investors and publish the reports.
• Performing the DIFC Data protection related regulation’s assessment and ongoing reporting obligation in relation to controller and processor role.

What You’ll Do More?

• Developing the compliance monitoring annual plan and performing compliance risk reviews to identify areas of non-compliance by raising non-conformity reports and corresponding corrective action reports or Progress Reports to Senior Management.
• Performing the data privacy standard impact assessment as per the group standards.
• Developing the FATCA CRS policy and SOP for ADIB Capital Limited (the entity) and Funds.
• Identifying and escalating the Ops Risk Events to Risk Officer.
• Identifying and escalating the Cyber Risk Events to Group Information Security Officer.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree and compliance qualifications.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years’ experience within financial services industry, of which minimum 6 years of experience in compliance.
• Recognized leadership experience of working in the UAE regulatory environment within financial services industry.
• Previous working experience in the DFSA/FSRA/SCA regulated firm.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Excellent knowledge of regulatory and industry standards and regulations across the UAE .
• Strong communication skills.
