The job holder is responsible to oversee and manage credit risk for the wholesale banking division, ensuring robust risk assessment, compliance with regulatory standards, and optimization of credit portfolio performance. Responsibilities of Associate Vice President

• Ensure the Bank maintains an adequate and effective Risk Management program covering the Wholesale segment.
• Ensure the Wholesale Banking Credit Policy is updated on time and disseminated to all stakeholders.
• Review Product Programs (PPG) for all Wholesale Banking (Non-Retail) products along with the Business Product team to ensure that the PPG’s are aligned with policies and procedures and renewed before the expiry dates.
• Continuously improve the portfolio management process to enhance the credit quality of the portfolio, underwriting and collections to industry best levels.
• Ensure ongoing tracking of Risk Triggers as set out in the Risk Appetite framework.
• Ensure ongoing tracking of Policy Risk triggers and those set in the PPGs.
• Ensure effective product performance tracking framework for the Wholesale Banking portfolio whilst facilitating business growth opportunities.
• Review the Portfolio MIS for BBG and WBG segments.
• Review the MIS packs prepared for the Risk Committees.
• Ensure prudent listing, maintenance and periodic reviews of the approved list of Auditors for financial statements of Wholesale Banking and Business Banking customers to effectively manage the associated risks in these areas.
• Ensure compliance with all Central bank Regulations as issued from time to time and to make sure Credit Policies are updated with the same.
• Ongoing Monitoring of Portfolio caps and triggers on periodic basis.
• Up to date with the market information and trends affecting the UAE/GCC market and Banks portfolio.

Requirements of Associate Vice President

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Banking sector.
• Experience in Credit approving role, Market Research and Stress Testing would be an added advantage.
