An opportunity has arisen at University of Sharjah (UoS) for position of an Associate Professor Cyber Security Engineering to join the Computer Engineering Department of their College of Computing & Informatics. UoS was established in 1997 with the aim and vision to contribute to the qualities shared by renowned universities around the world. The education and research programs they offer tend to be comprehensive and multi disciplinary. UoS has 14 colleges ​and offers 122 programs across multiple academic disciplines. Courses are offered in a variety of fields ranging from Sharia and Law to Health Sciences, Medicine, Fine Arts and Design, Engineering and Communication. They also offer a wide range of degree programs at the diploma, BSc/BA, MSc/MA and Ph.D. levels​ as well as the Executive MBA (EMBA) program.

Job Purpose of An Associate Professor Cyber Security Engineering

• As an Associate Professor at University of Sharjah, enrich the Computer Engineering Department with new expertise in the Cybersecurity Engineering area.
• Provide expertise in relation to the newly started programs of Bachelor and Master in the Cybersecurity Engineering.

What You Will Do As An Associate Professor Cyber Security Engineering

• Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
• Supervising post graduate students research projects & theses (Masters/PhD).
• Contributing to the development of courses and programs (both at the under graduate and post graduate levels) offered by the College of Computing and Informatics) and accreditation especially ABET Accreditation and CAA of UAE.
• Performing all assigned administrative tasks by the program, college and university.
• Contributing to the research activities and initiate research projects leading to effective publications in journals with high ranking and patents.
• Mentoring and advising of students at all levels.
• Mentoring and advise junior faculty.

Eligible Candidate?

Qualification

• Ph.D. in the areas specified above or in closely related fields.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Demonstrate a solid research record.
• Be capable of teaching courses in their areas of expertise in addition to core courses in the Cybersecurity Engineering Program.
• Industrial or postdoctoral experience is a plus.
