Associate EM Fixed Income & Security Financing Sales HSBC

HSBC is currently seeking an ambitious individual for the job role of Sales Associate to join their Global Banking and Markets team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. Responsibilities of Sales Associate

• Contribute to the identification of sales opportunities that address specific needs for clients and managing from identification to point of sale.
• Contribute to maintenance of business relationships with accounts in assigned area of responsibility.
• Assist the team in the efficient marketing of products to their client base and in achieving both Financial and Qualitative annual objectives to their client base.
• Share relevant market, customer and counter-party intelligence with colleagues in the HSBC network, in order that the Group derives maximum benefit from its networking potential.
• Support the day to day operations of the desk.
• Maintain complete records of client orders and execution.
• Provide the team management with required management information, in order to inform decision making.
• Work on the digitalization of the desk.
• Assist on the Security Financing flow.
• Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure our conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
• Ensure an efficient, high capacity risk management infrastructure that meets internal control standards and achieves the Vision of HSBC being ‘the world’s leading international bank’ by ‘connecting clients with opportunities’.

Requirements of Sales Associate

• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
• A degree in any discipline, preferably business administration, economics, mathematics, engineering, or finance.
• 3 years of experience in similar role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Strong Knowledge in IT systems like Bloomberg and MS office.
• Good knowledge in Fixed Income Markets products; Bonds, Interest Rate Swap and repo.
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills – good team player
• Excellent communication skills both written & verbal in English are required.
• A strong knowledge and experience preferably in Emerging Markets.
