Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) is seeking an expert Assistant Technical Inspector for its Vehicle Testing and Registration Business in Dubai, UAE. Role of Assistant Technical Inspector

Under the general supervision of the Technical Inspector, the Assistant Technical Inspector is responsible for the conscientious testing of vehicles in accordance with the working procedures laid down and RTA parameters.

Responsibilities of Technical Inspector

  • Receive vehicle from customer at the test bay.
  • Conduct Brake and Emission test as per Tasjeel/RTA testing procedure.
  • Carries out proper Technical Inspection with responsibility and as per vehicle testing parameters from Tasjeel and RTA.
  • Maintain test lanes and equipment in good condition.
  • See if the vehicle is safe to drive, as well as ensuring that it meets all relevant safety standards and regulations.

Your Duties in this Role

  • Inspecting vehicles to identify mechanical problems, such as leaks in the fuel system or worn tires.
  • Performing safety inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
  • Examining vehicle titles and registration documents to ensure that they are valid.
  • Inspecting vehicles for damage, ensuring that proper installation of all equipment, and checking for recalls.
  • Reporting any unsafe conditions to the appropriate party for further action.
  • Performing minor repairs or arranging for repairs to be made, including changing oil and replacing filters.
  • Performing mechanical services such as tire rotations and balancing, replacing brakes, and changing transmission fluid.

Education & Experience

  • Technical diploma/certificate in automobile technology.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technician/mechanic in a professionally managed automobile workshop.
